A team of highly competent Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and supervisors, behavior therapists
assist families with understanding the reason behind their child's challenging behavior and
develop child specific treatment plan that focus on the prevention of challenging behavior. We
focus on following goals:
To assess the child’s challenging behavior by identifying the causes that are likely to
evoke challenging behavior and the consequences that are likely to maintain it. This
functional approach to assessment is very helpful by recgonizing the key events in the
environment that can be changed to reduce challenging behavior and promote
appropriate behavior during treatment.
To teach the child to engage in appropriate replacement behavior that substitutes
challenging behavior.
To develop treatment strategies to help the child learn to better tolerate difficult
situations. That is, we target to teach our children new ways to respond and deal with
the difficult situations that have occasioned challenging behavior in the past.
To train caregivers (i.e., parents, teachers, teachers) to implement treatment procedures
specific to their child's challenging behavior, to make sure treatment gains carryover into
the child’s natural environment (e.g., home, school, community).
High functioning kids with autism very often cope with pre-primary school very well. They learn
their basic categories, do basic math and even learn to write. However as school advances
coping with academics become difficult although few kids manage by memory and rote learning.
We at BMI have a successful academic training program based on Concept Development,
Precision Teaching and Direction Instruction. Our highly customized reading programs, math
programs and writing program are planned carefully and designed to suit the child’s needs. At
BMI we support both regular academic programs and also NIOS programs. Book your

Every child has a right to go to school. And every parent’s dream to send their child to a regular
school should be respected. Many schools are also very supportive and provide such
opportunities. And yet we see many capable children not attending school. The child may have
autism but has no learning issues. Then why is this not successful? The question to ask is…
Am I doing the right things to send my child to school?
Am I sending the child to school for the right reasons?
Does my child have pre-requisites to be a part of pre-primary school?
Is my child cooperative?
Is my child listening and following instructions of others?
If you feel you have doubts answering these questions.. we can help you. Our team of
professionals can guide you. For a free consultation talk to our Expert….
How children understand the world around them is based on their understanding of concepts.
Vocabulary development is the building block of these concepts. In children with autism the
acquired vocabulary is integrated to aid in meaningful understanding. Teaching the child by
explicitly exposing them to new experiences is essential for concept development.
Children with autism often struggle here and can be taught through intradimensional and
interdimensional concept teaching. If your child is struggling with concepts we can help!!!
